New Employee Orientation
PreArrival Checklist
Goal: To provide best possible work environment for the new employee.
DONE TO DO
  Call to officially welcome the new hire to MVNU after confirmation of acceptance. (Confirm start date, place, etc.)
  Send Department Welcome Letter to new hire, reinforcing and reminding him/her of information included in the "Offer Letter and Welcome Packet" sent by HR.
  Send an informal announcement (via email) to the department announcing the new hire arrival date and duties.
  Prepare the first day and first week agenda.
  Prepare the new hire's work space with appropriate supplies making sure it is clean and ready.
  Review professional calendar to schedule appropriate meeting times during new hire's first month.
